Hey, uhm hope you're good
Hope you slept well. I uh-
I wrote you something. I wrote it yesterday
And I wanted to send it yesterday but I thought it would make a better morning gift than a good night one
Uhm, yeah I was thinking about you a lot yesterday
And I thought that uh- I'd write you a poem so huh-
It goes like this

Time started again when I saw you, ticking away the death within me
Seconds spun into minutes
Minutes into hours, and showers of your love rained on me
You woke me
Drew me from my corpse-like slumber
Found all the scattered bits of me that lay yonder and told me to open my eyes
Unstuck my frozen fingers and coaxed my voice from my throat
Hid a smile in the corner of your mouth and caught my first world with it
Spilled your breath onto my tongue and said "speak with it"
Covered my frailty with patience and asked my limbs to move
Wound me into your embrace and traced your history on my palm
Rewrote my DNA and claimed me as your own
You broke away the stone casing that kept me safe from everyone
And you haven't let me go any further than where your gaze can rest
Where you can reel me in with just a look to make sure that I stay
And share a secret smile with me that only I can spy
Hidden in the corner of your mouth that caught your first word with it
Spilled your breath onto my tongue and said:
"Speak With It"
