Siobhan King otherwise known by her stage name ''Sio'' was born in 1991 and hails from Ennerdale in the South of Johannesburg, South Africa. Sio is a storyteller, who uses music, poetry, theatre, design and interpretation to tell her stories. Her unique ability to transition between miscellaneous genres such as dance, deep-house and electro with her resilient voice makes her a monumental artist in a new age of music. She grew up listening to greats such as Sade, Boys to Men, Kenny G, The Bee Gees and South Africa's very own: Brenda Fassie . Consequentially, these legends have influenced her sound.
Sio's music is inspired by her life experiences and the world around, her books and she often gravitates towards dark metaphors and images sighting pain as one of her greatest muses.
