Yum Yuck began about two years prior to The Plastics' album "In Threes" (2015). During the period when he was actively working on demos and sketches for the album, he found himself creating songs that deviated significantly from The Plastics' style. These compositions, marked by a distinct tonal, mood, and point of view, felt more personally developed, lacking collaborative input from the other band members. Although they didn't align with the band's collective vision, he felt content with the sound. Thus, Yum Yuck emerged as a platform for him to release any music he recorded and enjoyed. Initially, the project aimed to remain undefined, open to various styles and genres, with the goal of showcasing the diverse range of songs he created.
