Khensani Mabaso, better known by his stage name DJ Kent was born in the township of Soweto, in Pimville, South Africa.
He is a producer, DJ and entrepreneur who's music career began at an early age when he'd dabble in mixing house music, as hye gained popularity Dj'ing at 21st birthday celebrations as well as the Valentines Day mixes he'd compose. His raw talent could not be denied or ignored as he rose to a giant pillar of house music in South Africa. Having created his own mixing identity known as mega mixing which went on to influence 12 countries, such as the likes of South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and more.
He even co-founded his own record label known as 88 Productions which has signed the likes of Zaki Ibrahim, Maleh, Nandi Madida and Jimmy Dludlu.
Dj Kent's talent has been acknowledged with varies awards such as The South African Music Award for Best Remix of the Year, the South African Music Award for Most Streamed Song of The Year.
