He released his debut solo album 3T (Things Take Time). It is a introspective project which delves into Youngsta's challenges growing up in Cape Town, primarily the scourge of gangsterism and violence which is characterised by the Cape flats. The album also explores matters of segregation during apartheid, specifically the removal of 60 000 inhabitants of District 6 upon the declaration of that area being classified as a ''whites-only'' area. The artist illuminates how his grandparents were amongst the group of people who were forcibly removed to the Cape flats, and the lessons his grandfather imparted which were ultimately pivotal for him to rise above his circumstances and environment.
